How to Change the URL AVG Downloads Updates From
AVG security tools use a configurable URL that specifies where its updates are downloaded from. This support topic explains how to configure the download URL in case you have difficulty downloading updates using the pre-configured URL.
In order to change your download URL in AVG, you'll need to get to the Update Settings screen:
To get to the Update Settings screen, open the AVG Main Window go to the Main Menu and select Tools > Advanced Settings > branch Update and select the URL option.
Please note that URL configuration is blocked in the AVG Free Edition and this option cannot be changed there.
