Explaining Norton 360 Status

Every time Norton 360 is started, it shows a tiny taskbar icon indicating its status.

The color of this icon indicates your current protection status, so pay attention to what the icon shows.

Icon changing its color usually means there is a task requiring your attention or a new unresolved threat has been found on your PC.

In such case, Norton taskbar icon will display more information when you hover your mouse over it. If more problems are detected, the status message displays the number of unresolved issues that require your attention. All issues can be further inspected and their details viewed by clicking the taskbar icon and opening the Norton window.

In the Norton window that comes up after clicking the taskbar status icon, use the "Fix now" button to have Norton automatically resolved the issues for you.

Moreover, when you open Norton Main Window, it displays four protection areas: Identity Protection, PC Security, Backup, and PC Tune-up, each of them showing in the appropriate color. The status areas will indicate any problems that need to be resolved using various colors.

At any time, you can view details of each and every protection area by clicking the View Details option under.
