How to turn Automatic LiveUpdate on and off
You can have LiveUpdate checking for protection updates and product updates automatically on a set schedule, by turning on Automatic LiveUpdate. You must run LiveUpdate manually only if you disable Automatic LiveUpdate.
If you are connected to the Internet, Automatic LiveUpdate downloads product updates and protection updates every four hours. If you have an ISDN router that is set to automatically connect to your Internet service provider (ISP), many connections are made that may incur charges each time. If this type of setup is a problem, you can set your ISDN router to not automatically connect to the ISP. Alternatively, you can turn off Automatic LiveUpdate.
