Navigating Norton 360 main window
Norton 360 main window is the main control panel for Norton 360 that you can use to manage all tasks and access all features of the application. Additionally, you can monitor computer performance and edit backup / restore settings.
As you use your PC, Norton gathers information about your online activities, protected files and operating system as well as backup and resource utilization. All this information can be accessed from within Norton 360 main window. Additionally, Norton 360 displays your current protection status in the tray as a small tray icon. Clicking it will take you to the main window where you can fine-tune your Norton for optimal performance.
Main window serves you with the summary of the most important protection status information and other issues that may have impact on your computer performance, including the following information:
- Your PC Security status includes virus / spyware protection status and configuration options
- Identity protection status gives you an overview of your current online protection status including protection from phishing fake Websites and other online fraud
- Backup status informs you about your automatic backup schedules and files to-be-backed-up
- Performance optimization and tuneup gives you insight into the PC tuneup status and allows you to run optimization procedures
- Run LiveUpdate allows you to download the latest virus definition and Norton updates
- Quick Scan runs a smart, quick scan looking for viruses in the most vulnerable areas of your system
- Get Support allows you to connect to Symantec live agent and browse Symantec support database
Norton 360 uses colors to indicate your current protection status in various areas. The status categories may appear in green, orange and red informing you about your status.
- Red means you are at risk
- Orange means an unresolved issue requires your attention
- Green means your system is sane and you are protected against all threats
