How to activate Norton 360
This guide explains the activation process of Norton 360 Version 3.0. This guide may not be accurate for previous versions of Norton 360.
In order to use Norton 360 without limitations, the product must be activated first. Once activated, Norton 360 can automatically download updates and upgrades using LiveUpdate system thorough the renewable service period (usually 12 and 24 months).
Customers whose license has expired, can still renew their license and activate their product online.
To activate Norton 360 you need to be connected to the Internet. If you just installed Norton 360, you will be prompted to activate the product when you first start it. In order to activate Norton 360, the Norton Account has to be setup. Norton Account helps you keep track of your licenses and subscriptions, it also enables you to recover your Norton serial key if you loose it.

Setting up Norton Account may be bypassed, but you won't be able to recover your Norton Product Key in the future.
Please note, that you must activate your Norton 360 within the time period that the alert shows, otherwise your protection won't work.
If you didn't activate Norton 360 upon first run, you can do it anytime from the activation alert. Activation requires you to provide valid Norton Product Key, so remember to have one at hand.
Please follow the steps below to activate Norton 360:
- If you choose to activate from the alert window, click Activate Now in the alert window
- Click OK
- After a couple of seconds click Done
- If you choose to activate from the main window click Trial Period Status
- Follow the instructions that appear on the screen
- Click Done when Activation completes
