What is polymorphic virus?

Polymorphic virus is a self-mutating virus that creates the new version of itself every time it infects a new system.

Polymorphic virus infections are hard to tackle because of the constant mutations that render viruses of such types immune to standard antivirus programs.

Symantec, however, has invented a technique to kill such viruses. This technology is called Norton AntiVirus Striker and it's already included in your Norton AntiVirus, Norton Internet Security, and Norton 360 installation.
