What is NAVEX?

NAVEX stands for Norton Anti Virus Extension and it is a routine used in Norton AntiVirus that enhances or extends its antivirus engine without the need of full reinstallation or upgrade to the newer version.

This means, that Norton AntiVirus can be enriched with new features or be equipped with new virus detection engine without the requirement of a major software update.
