What is ad-hoc network?

Ad-hoc network is a network with access point(s) that are usually wireless access point(s) where guest computers can connect only temporarily without the need of complicated network configuration.

Normally ad-hoc networks allow to connect to them when connecting devices are really close and within their wireless range. "Ad-hoc" stands for Latin "for this purpose only".
